Creating art is both therapeutic and transformative—a moving meditation in my daily life. Each year, I embark on consecutive 100 Day Projects, where I paint and write every day. The resulting stacks of images are a living record of my growing family, a timeline of emotional struggles that came along with the election of 2016, and, at times, a reflection back on my family’s immigration story.
